Explore our closest star with the Astronomical League’s Solar programs (Sunspotter, Space Weather & H-alpha) with club members who’ve been working on them and learning from them. This talk will cover highlights of:
– Sunspots and types, and how to log them visually and with astrophotography
– Space Weather – how to measure changes from a homemade magnetometer and log them in predicting aurora
– H-alpha solar viewing – how to log visual observations and with astrophotography
