Bear Branch Almanac
Bear Branch Nature Center is where WASI meets each month, and is the home of our observatory. We often host star parties here as well.

Planetary Positions
Computed for the Blaine F. Roelke Memorial Observatory.
| Planet | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | Altitude | Azimuth | Rise | Transit | Set |
|---|
Note: Positions are calculated using the low precision algorithm described in Chapter 8 of the Explanatory Supplement to the Astronomical Almanac. See Keperian Elements for Approximate Positions of the Major Planets at JPL Solar System Dynamics for a general overview.
The positions should be accurate enough for most purposes but since it only has elements for Earth-Moon barycenter, there is some parallax error and apparent positions will differ slightly from that of a topocentric observer.
